Joyce Bhang

Joyce Bhang

Joyce Bhang received her B.S. in 1979 at the University of Washington in Speech and Hearing Science. To prepare for her time at ZOE, Joyce received a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MA-TESOL), from Seattle Pacific University, June 2008.

A mother of two adult children with whom she shares the love of Christ and of His work in the world, Joyce looks forward to working together in ministry with them someday. Chris is entering law school after completing his master’s degree in Urban Studies from Eastern University. Allison is in the Visual Communication and Design program at the University of Washington where she is in leadership with Intervarsity Christian fellowship.

After raising her children, Joyce went to work at Seattle Pacific University’s School of Education. She has volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, and Christmas program director at the Japanese Presbyterian Church of Seattle. She has also served as a Bible teacher for Saturday Special, a program ministering to adults with special developmental needs. Joyce has nurtured a desire to work with children in need of the love of Jesus for many years. She counts it a deep privilege to be in partnership with such loving people, and to serve in a place of undeniable healing and hope.

Jessica Dodd

Jessica Dodd

Jessica Dodd graduated from College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California with a certificate in early childhood development in 2001, and graduated from the Children’s Ministries Institute in Warrenton, Missouri with a certificate in Children’s Ministry Leadership in 2006.

At the age of twelve, Jessica heard a clear call from God to disciple and minister to children, and has done so wholeheartedly ever since. With over 5 years of teaching experience and nearly 14 years of experience in Children’s Ministry leadership, Jessica came to ZOE Children’s Homes prepared and eager to train leaders, evangelize and coordinate all Children’s Ministry programming. She pioneered ZOE Children’s Camp, ZOE’s Carnival Crusade, and the Children’s Ministry Teacher Seminar in the ZOE Ministry School (ZMS). Her expertise in Child Evangelism has brought the village outreaches to a new level, and she has been able to begin duplicating herself through the instruction she provides in ZMS. Many students of ZMS have also heard a similar Call to Jessica’s, and are moving forward as they realize the importance of children to the heart of God.

Jessica’s parents, Dennis and Gladys, and three siblings: Carrie, Brian, and Dennis Jr. reside in Santa Clarita, CA. Apart from missing them tremendously while on the other side of the globe, it has been a pleasure and ease to consider Thailand “home”.

Jessica’s prayer and heart felt desire is that the influence God allows her to have in the lives of the ZMS students, the rescued children of ZOE, and those in the most remote villages, will be one that spreads the LIFE and love of Jesus throughout the world.
